Laser Cutting Machine with Fixed Optic Laser
Most commonly used for laser cutting fixed optic laser technology is self-explanatory. There a fixed (non-moving) main focusing optic for the laser beam, which directs the beam straight down to a single point. Generally, the part to be processed is mounted to an X/Y positioning stage which will move the part which the laser beam and fixed optic remains stationary. This movement of the part created the desired geometry to be cut. If the applications calls for hole drilling the same configuration can be used to drive the part to location for pulsed drilling.
